The Geography Curriculum at Elson encourages children to be curious about the world around them, foster a sense of ‘awe and wonder’ and develop a sense of place. Geography is a subject that all children can access and enjoy; when encouraged to look, question and listen using a range of resources and key enquiry questions relating to their local area, the UK and the wider world, all children can become master geographers! 

The curriculum aims to develop geography skills by weaving them into the learning of key geographical knowledge and understanding in order to make links. It also returns regularly to concepts, skills, vocabulary and content so that learning is secured and children progress.
