Modern Foreign Languages at Elson
The Modern Foreign Languages curriculum at Elson Junior School encourages children to have an awareness of other cultures and develop a deeper understanding of the world through the use of songs, oral rehearsal and reading key phrases. Languages is a subject that all children can access and enjoy due to the nature of lessons being practical, working collaboratively and learning in a multiple of ways.
Languages at Elson not only develops their language skills but also their confidence, listening skills and engagement in conversations. These skills alongside the awareness of other cultures equip children with the knowledge and passion for potentially working abroad into their adulthood.
