PATCH AGM

The date for the PATCH Annual General Meeting has been set as Tuesday 15th January 2019 at 15:30 in the main school hall.  In order to hold the AGM we must meet our Quorum figures of non-committee attendees.  By attending you are not committing to anything, not unless you want to, but you are enabling us to proceed and continue as PATCH.  Please put this date in your idary to spare us 30 minutes, as without the PTA, the children will miss out on various things that we fund.  As all Officers must step down at the AGM, all roles are up for re-election and anyone can stand for an Officer's position.  Also, to continue to run PATCH successfully, we do need more committee members and extra helpers.  You do not need to commit to every event, but if you are interested in joining the committee of going on our regular helper list, then please contact PATCH via our Facebook page, or leave your details in the school office for us.

PATCH is the Parents, Teachers and Children’s Association. Together we work hard to arrange and run various events including Children’s Discos, Summer and Christmas Fayres, Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day Shops along with a host of other events. All of the money raised at these events is used to benefit the children of Elson Junior School.

The committee is currently made up of: -

Tarah Puxty – Chairperson

Kirsty Ferguson – Vice Chairperson

Leilah Brewer – Secretary

Maria Peters - Treasurer

Sonia Smith - School Link

Debbie Piper, Claire Adams, Mel Merchant-Locke, Nicky Turner, Caroline Telling, Louise Dade, Fleur Palmer, Paula Madgwick and John Madden - Parents

Glenda Pratt - Community

If you have any questions or ideas then please contact any of us through the school office.

In previous years, PATCH raised funds that were used towards:

  • Replace Adventure Playground Equipment
  • A new Buddy Bench for the playground
  • Year 6's leaving event
  • Refreshments for school activities e.g. Sports Day
  • Entry for 'J Rock'
  • Appreciation Station
  • An outside tap for the school garden
  • Transport to the Portsmouth Schools Music Festival
  • Scooter Pods and grounds works
  • Sports Day medals and trophies
  • Provide additional extras such as christmas crackers and ice lollies at seasonal events for the children.

PATCH relies on your continued support. Even if you are not able to sit on the committee, your help with events will always be greatly appreciated.
