Computing

The Computing Curriculum at Elson Junior School encourages children to be active and safe participants in a digital world, while creating an understanding of real-world application and developing skills for future workplaces.

By providing the children with access to a range of software and hardware, we will bestow opportunities to show computational thinking through creativity, problem solving and the building of resilience by learning from mistakes.

At Elson, we recognise that Computing is not just about typing and coding. It is about learning how computers are integrated within our day to day lives; how computers work – on both a local and a global scale; and how computers can be used efficiently and effectively to make tasks easier.
