Our Student Leaders are pupils in Year 6 who play an important role in our school community. They are chosen because they consistently demonstrate our school values and act as positive role models for others across the school. 

Each Student Leader represents one of our school values and helps to promote and embed these in daily school life. They encourage other pupils to follow these values, support younger children and help create a positive, respectful learning environment where everyone can succeed. 

Within the Student Leadership team, we also appoint a Head Boy and Head Girl. These pupils take on additional responsibility, representing the school at important events, welcoming visitors and supporting staff with whole-school activities. They also help to share pupils’ ideas and ensure the student voice is heard. 

Student Leaders regularly help at special events such as assemblies, celebrations and open events. Through their leadership, responsibility and commitment, they help make Elson Junior School a welcoming, supportive and inspiring place for everyone.
