We are pleased to let you know that Chartwells has been chosen to provide the meal service at Elson Junior School.  

Chartwells use research and feedback from pupils and parents to craft their delicious, seasonal menus that go far beyond the Government's School Food Standards.  

Their menus are updated bi-annually with sustainable, nutrient-rich ingredients, encouraging pupils to try new flavours and textures. Chartwells speak to pupils across the country and ask them to give the thumbs up before they allow any recipes onto their menus. 

The school menu rotates on a three-week basis and refreshes for Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer seasons. 

School meals are currently £2.75 per day and should be paid for in advance via Arbor. 

To order meals for your children, please log into the Arbor app, click on Meals, select the correct school term and you will then be able to see the options and select meals for each day.

Free School Meals 

If you are entitled to receive free school meals, please order your children's lunches in the same way, via Arbor.  

If you think you may be entitled to free school meals, you can submit an application on this website: https://www.gov.uk/apply-free-school-meals 

Packed lunches 

Children may bring their own packed lunches in with them, we would like to encourage them to bring healthy, nutritious lunches and snacks into school. A healthy diet helps children perform to the best of their abilities. We appreciate your support in helping us create a healthy environment for all pupils.
